Welcome to The Blog at MoonLab Alchemy, where we offer the latest insights into holistic healing, microbiome science, and mind-body medicine. Our goal is to empower you to understand your body and mind better, enabling you to take charge of your health and well-being. We believe it is every human’s birthright to experience life fully, with a deep sense of purpose, gratitude, and joy emanating from within.
In a world where disconnection, dysbiosis, and disease are on the rise, we need real solutions now more than ever. Our philosophy centers on reconnection: with the earth, ourselves, and each other. In doing so, we aim to live in harmony with Mother Nature, embracing her cycles and seasons, fostering relationships with the plants, animals, waters, and soils around us, and repopulating our minds, bodies, and souls with the thoughts, nutrients, and love they need to thrive. A form of “coming home” to ourselves, this reconnection leads to the realization of our innate wholeness and oneness with all things in nature, and with the source of all creation.
We challenge conventional health paradigms through constant questioning and learning, informed by the wisdom of both ancient practices and modern research. For too long, we have attributed the fate of our health to external sources, ignoring the vital roles that our own thoughts, habits, and belief systems play. In the words of renowned author and physician Dr. Gabor Maté,
“The current medical paradigm, owing to an ostensibly scientific bent (that in some ways, bears more resemblance to an ideology than to empirical knowledge), commits a double fault: it reduces complex events to their biology, and it separates mind from body, concerning itself almost exclusively with one or the other, without appreciating their essential unity. This shortcoming does not invalidate medicine’s indisputably miraculous achievements, nor sullen the good intentions of so many people practicing it. But it does severely constrain the good that medical science could be doing.”
As someone who has lived the majority of their lifetime with an autoimmune condition, I have experienced the limitations of Western medical approaches firsthand. This propelled me to take my health into my own hands and become my own health advocate, seeking out and exploring more integrative modalities that take the whole person—including their biology, psychology, life experiences, and the culture in which they live—into account.
The prevalence of chronic diseases is rising at an alarming rate, driven by lifestyle factors such as poor nutrition, physical inactivity, tobacco and alcohol consumption, and chronic stress, which are often exacerbated by life circumstances and socio-economic conditions. These diseases, however, are largely preventable. Non-medical behavior and lifestyle changes can dramatically reduce the incidence of these conditions, as emphasized by health professionals including Karen Hacker, MD, in a recent Mayo Clinic Proceedings article. She highlights the critical role of lifestyle in preventing chronic diseases, which now account for the majority of preventable deaths and disabilities globally.

As a mother of a child with an autoimmune disorder it is wonderful to know of someone with so much knowledge, understanding and personal experience with this.
We need so much more education about the advantages of Holistic healing.
Congratulations on your achievements..
Keep up the good work!
I am excited about your upcoming posts! It’s a blessing to have such a dedicated holistic healer with your background and knowledge providing information for the community 🤲✨
I am so touched by your words. I agree that modern medicine does not take into account the mind and body connection and how our environment and nutrition affect our well being. I am grateful for all of the advancement modern medicine has brought to the world but we have lost touch with how our body works. We have given up practices that once helped us thrive. Keep up the good work😊
